The operation departs from Pendik or Yalova, crosses Marmara and the Northern Aegean, descends via Pamukkale to the Mediterranean coast (Antalya–Alanya), holds a cultural stop on the volcanic Cappadocian plateau, then runs the Erciyes, Aladağlar and Bolkar passes down to the Mediterranean at Mersin. Every stage is delivered with its own time-window, alternate routing, and contingency plan.

02Cappadocia
Volcanic Plateau
Volcanic tuff country shaped over millions of years on the Erciyes–Hasandağ axis. Open-plateau riding with 30 km visibility and balloon traffic at sunrise.
03Taurus
Alpine Passes
Mountain passes between 1,800 and 2,200 metres, tarmac winding above the yaylas, the first Mediterranean view. A low-altitude fallback is held in reserve for early October snow.
04Mediterranean
Wild Coast
The lightly-travelled Mediterranean stretch between Anamur and Mersin. Off the conventional tourist line, with road geometry built for riding.

Field execution architecture
A 150-motorcycle expedition is not a guided tour. The layers below are run simultaneously on the ground in Turkey.
Convoy
Convoy Coordination
Raid director, two peloton leaders, opener and sweep, GPS-tracked double-buddy rule. Every segment briefed in advance, every stage run on radio traffic.
Medical
Medical Setup
Medical vehicle at the rear (emergency doctor + nurse), two light medical vehicles inside the peloton. Helicopter evacuation contracted with two private operators in redundancy. 30-minute maximum intervention.
Mechanical
Mobile Workshop
Workshop truck, two motorcycle recovery vehicles, two roaming mechanic riders, strategic parts stock sized against the announced models.
Customs
Temporary Admission
Standard Turkish personal-vehicle temporary admission registered to the rider's passport. Tier-one forwarders in Pendik and Mersin accustomed to event-scale volumes. Prepared from T-60 days.
Fuel
Supply Management
Two Opet/BP stations reserved per stage with a 90-minute pass window. Mobile tankers on stages furthest from main roads. ~1,800 litres/day under management.
Permits
Administrative Layer
General Directorate of Security convoy permit, Valilik notifications per province, Jandarma rural coordination, DKMP national-park permits, SHGM aerial filming authorisation.
Route Architecture
Five segments. One line.
Each segment corresponds to two or three riding days. The crossing structure is protected by fallback routes and daily time windows.

Pamukkale & Descent to the Mediterranean
Duration2 daysDistance~530 kmFrom İzmir to Denizli and the Pamukkale travertines. Then down the seaward face of the Taurus to Antalya — the first sight of the Mediterranean.

Mediterranean Coast & Climb Inland
Duration2 daysDistance~430 kmThe Mediterranean Riviera from Antalya to Alanya. Then the long climb from the coast up to the volcanic interior plateau and Cappadocia.

Cappadocia
Duration2-3 days (cultural)Distance~0 kmThe volcanic plateau. Göreme and Devrent valleys. Cave hotels. Sunrise balloon flight. A concentrated cultural pause at the centre of the expedition.

Taurus High Stage & Mediterranean Finale
Duration4 daysDistance~580 kmFrom Cappadocia to Erciyes, the Aladağlar and the Bolkar Mountains. High-altitude passes and yayla roads, then the Mediterranean closure at Mersin. Low-altitude alternate always on call.

Two nights in Cappadocia
Selected cave hotels on the plateau. Not bivouac — a cultural pause. Central position for the sunrise balloon traffic and base for the valley rides.

Mediterranean closure
Official closure at the port of Mersin. A maritime welcome, dinner, and a protected window for expedition media production.
03
Turkish hospitality
Coordinated welcome protocols with mayors in selected provinces (on request). Regional media coverage, in-country visibility for sponsors.
04
Surprise activations
Traditional hamam, an honour dinner at a heritage venue, local artisan gifts — surprise layers offered by regional partners to selected riders.

This is not a tour.
This is an expedition.
Operations, permits, logistics, medical setup, mechanical support, administrative coordination — all delivered on the ground in Turkey by a single field team. The Lone Rider Trophy is ready to be carried into the Turkey crossing.
